PhD candidate, Laura Hallward, is on the verge of receiving her doctoral degree in June; an academic journey that spanned nine years entirely with the McGill Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education (KPE). In her research pursuits, Laura has focused on online eating disorder communities to investigate individuals’ lived experiences, particularly those who struggle with compulsive exercise. We asked Laura about her McGill KPE experience and her influential research in exercise psychology and compulsive exercise that was recently featured on both English and French radio as well as on Montreal’s CTV News.
